A hundred years ago, in 1904 Filippo and Angela Gallia established their millinery business and hat shop in Turin.
In December 1912 King Vittorio Emanuele III decided to give Angela Paschero Gallia "the licence to show the Royal coat of Arms with the legend: "Recognized by the Royal House" on the shop sign in Piazza Castello 25 and to use the title "By appointment to H.M.The King"..
Some years later, Angela with her two daughters, opened a new millinery "Mode Gallia" in Piazza Garignano in Turin. Towards the end of twenties, Mariuccia, the enterprising eldest daughter, married the son of the famous Milanese milliner Cornelia Peter and moved to Milan in 1930; they opened the "Gallia e Peter" show room with the shop windows in Via Montenapoleone.
