A LONG SUCCESS STORY

Despite the economical and political uncertainties of the Seventies, Gallia e Peter has continued its tradition, handed down from mother to daughter, of creating hats in various styles: hippy, punk and folk. But what was really successful and has stood up the times, is the so-called "stylism".

The new generation of stylists are called Walter Albini, Giorgio Armani, Gianni Versace, Moschino, Gigli, Dolce e Gabbana and their names are strongly connected to Milan with their prêt a porter fashion shows.

They started in those years and continue today to work with Laura Marelli's contribution, who took over the business after her grand mother Angela Gallia and her mother Lia, therefore being the fourth generation in the millinery business.

With Laura, the handicraft in Via Montenapoleone grew yet again and she acquired international customers with Barney's New York, carrying on the high millinery tradition addressed to their ever more demanding customers.

A name, a high handicraft workshop placed among the "historic workshops" by the town Hall of Milan. "Holding one's head high" just like the family motto.
